What to see

The territory

There are many artistic, historical, cultural and natural attractions in this wonderful area, a place which testifies to the passage of time and the human settlements since ancient times. Today, the territory is highly valued for its culture and historical importance.

Recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979, the rock carvings of Val Camonica constitute one of the largest and most important sites of prehistoric petroglyphs in the world.

You can find a hidden treasure in every corner of the dreamy Lake Iseo, like the Church of Santa Maria della Neve in Pisogne, a jewel that incorporates its artistic interest on the cycle of frescoes representing the Passion of Christ, considered one of the significant points of Romanino poetics.

Even the natural environment holds many pleasant surprises: there are unforgettable views and landscapes that will satisfy every visitor. The large, rocky cliffs that plunge into the emerald waters, the sweet and green hills, the pure and lush nature are what make this place a true oasis. Also unmissable are the Pyramids of Zone; a large and spectacular natural amphitheatre characterized by the unusual presence of several land pyramids, topped by large rock hats originated by the erosive action of the weather on the original moraine deposit.
